When it comes to shackle straps on a trailer suspension it really boils down to what looks correct. Since leaf springs and equalizers can be switched out (especially on older trailers), longer or shorter shackle straps can be used to help make sure everything is lined up correctly (see attached photo). As long as your suspension looks like that photo then it is perfectly fine to use 2-1/2" shackle straps like the part # 115052 which is 2-5/8" long.

I can tell you how to measure for the correct slide out awning, and it's actually really simple and will only take a moment. So all you need to do to determine the correct slide-out awing is simply measure the entire width - from outside flange to outside flange - of your slide out and that's it.
